Shore excursions

1. Do I risk to miss my ship?
No. All our itineraries and tour schedules are based on cruise ships’ arrival-departure times. We also invite our participants to verify a minimum time frame of 45’ before/after a tour. We specialize in shore excursions since 1990 and never an unpleasant incident has ever occured. If such an incident happens though, due to our company’s fault, we will undertake your transportation to the next port that your cruise ship will be calling.

2. How can I amend or cancel my reservation?
If you need to amend or cancel a tour, you need to email us up to 7 days before the day of the tour. For cancellations of more than 7 days before the day of the tour, there is a refund of 70%. Up to 3 days before the day of the tour, there is a refund of 50%. In any other case, there is no refund at all. Please read this carefully and do not hesitate to contact us for any clarification that you might need.

3. Where does my tour start?
Joining instructions using the latest technologies will be automatically emailed to you right after your online booking (or 48 hrs the latest for offline bookings). We also include mobile phone number of our staff on the field and/or an emergency mobile phone of our company’s operations department.

4. Up until when can I book?
You can secure your participation to one of our regular (“shared”) tours and activities by booking up to 3 days before a departure, the latest. After this time frame online bookings will not be available, but you can always request for a tour by email (subject to availability) – For private shore excursions and tours, all requests are subject to availability and can be treated up to 3 days before a tour.

5. What happens after payment of a service online?
After payment, you will receive an automate reply, mentioning all the services you have paid as well as details on your reservation. In addition, this reply will include meeting point instructions, mobile phone of the person in charge etc. If for some reason you will not get this message after payment, you are kindly asked to contact us.

6. How can I reserve for a group?
A deposit is necessary in order to secure your group reservation corresponding to the 30% of the tour value; with the balance payable 10 days before departure.

7. Do I enjoy special conditions as a travel professional?
YES. We work very often with travel professionals. We have established a specific policy, offering a range of discounts to travel professionals, depending on the volume. Contact us to mail you our special terms for Travel Professionals.

8. Which currency will be charged to my credit card?
Our services are priced in EUROS (€) – if your card is issued based on a different currency the exchange rate used is determined by the credit card company.

9. Are children’s discounts available?
Yes. For “Shared”/regular tours, children pay the minimum price (price without a guide in any case). Infants up to 2 years old staying in their parents lap are free of charge. For the rest of our services, please let us know your children’s age and we will inform you for any discounts applied.

10. How much time does it take to get an answer after I have contacted you?
We aim to respond to your emails within 24 hours of receipt, although during peak times, national holidays and weekends, we may need a little longer to reply.

11. What is the tipping policy?
Tipping is optional. For satisfied customers, an average of 2-3 € per person/day is fair enough.

12. Do I benefit an insurance cover?
Insurance cover is obligatory in Greece only during bus transfers. Our buses are fully insured. During the rest of the tour, participants are strongly advised to buy their own insurance or buy our public liability insurance for 2€ per person/per tour.

14. Are online payments secure?
All payments on our website are made through the secure environment of Paypal. For more details, please visit Paypal official website.

15. Are there any minimum age requirements?
For most tours, there is no minimum age for children as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guests under the age of 18 years cannot participate without a parent or guardian except if a waiver is signed by the parent or guardian in our presence.

2. Do I risk to miss my flight?
No. We also invite our clients to verify a minimum time frame of 2h30m’ before/after a tour depending on where ypu live. We specialize in shore transfers and coach operations since 1990 and never an unpleasant incident has ever occured. If such an incident happens though, due to our company’s fault, we will undertake your transportation of your next flight back.

3. Is Travelco another online airport transfer selling site?
The answer is clearly NO. We are a local business and any transfers booked with us, are processed by one of our team and you will be transferred by one of our privately owned vehicles or one of the few taxi’s that we work with.

4. I can’t find the area I am interested in, on your list. How do I book?
Feel free to email us if you are having any difficulties booking online. We haven’t got a fancy call centre or an automated reply system. You will be dealt with by us personally and we will do our best to cater for your needs.

5. How will I find you at the airport?
We always wait at the arrivals area at the airport with an A4 sign with your name printed on it. Don’t PANIC! The arrival area in Corfu airport is small so you can’t miss us. If for some reason you can’t see us, you still have the option of calling us on the emergency mobile number you will have been given.

6. Do you provide child seats?
Our company can provide child seats and booster seats FREE of charge. Please make sure you let us know during the booking process and we will make sure we cater for your request.

7. I don’t know the address of my hotel, how do I book?
Don’t worry! All areas and resorts outside Corfu town rarely have street names and numbers and that includes your hotel or apartment. If you give us the resort area name and name of accommodation we have all the information we need to get you there, hassle free.

8. If my flight is delayed, will you still be picking us up?
Of course we will!!! That is why we ask for the correct flight number so that we monitor your flight arrival time and no matter what, you will be picked up.

9. How do I calculate my pickup time to go to the airport?
In any case, feel free to contact us if you are not sure what time you should be picked up. We always recommend you arrive two and a half hours before departure. During summer, traffic can be really heavy on the island and transfers may take longer than anticipated, so play safe and allow enough time!

10. Is the vehicle shared with other holidaymakers going to nearby resorts?
Absolutely Not. The vehicle booked is reserved exclusively for your party and you will be transferred to your destination without any delays or other drop offs.

11. How can I amend or cancel my reservation?

Cancellation of bookings can be done via our website up to 12 hours before the requested service. For cancellations made at such last minute we urge you to confirm that cancellation has been received by us.

Cancellations may take place up to 48 hours prior to travelling free of charge.

Cancellations made 48-12 hours before service will be charged 50% of the cost of service. The remaining balance will be refunded to the credit card used for the booking.

Requests for cancellations less than 12 hours before service will not be refunded.

Amendments to your booking can be made online free of charge by using the reference number provided to you via e-mail at the time of the original booking.
